  • Recently I taught a class for the Student Health Advocates on campus. This is a group of students that provides services and community outreach to UCSD students and area schools about health topics. I only had thirty minutes with the group so the primary focus was on evaluating online health information. I created a del.icio.us account so that students can collect sites they they find useful and reliable for their presentations. I distributed bookmarks (see below) that included the URL, purpose of the site, and the username/password for the account to update it. I encouraged them to add and tag sites in the account and promote it to the groups they are working with as a place to begin research. The bookmark was created by Erik Matwijkow, Publications Coordinator at the UCSD Biomedical Library. (Posted by Dominique Turnbow)
